Connex Education is working in partnership with a SEND School in Halton to recruit an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team and support their students both academically and emotionally.

In this role, you will be supporting EYFS & Key Stage 1 Students. You will support the class teacher to ensure all students have equal access to a preformal curriculum, whilst adhering and contributing to EHCPs and working closely with speech and language therapists.

As the ideal candidate, you will have knowledge and experience of supporting children with additional needs. You will be nurturing, supportive and able to challenge pupils, whilst respecting boundries and comfort zones.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is full-time, Monday to Thursday, (8:30am to 3:30pm), the school are looking for a TA to start immediately

• Experience of supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs.
• Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help children self
  -regulate.
• Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.
• Be engaging and using a person-centered approach.
• Be willing to provide personal care.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
