Tutor, Tutoring, Special Needs ​/ Learning Disabilities

Overview

Tutor role at Tip Top Job – Warrington area. Flexible hours with pay rate GBP 25–28 per hour PAYE. Sessions available on school premises, at students' homes, or in public spaces (such as libraries). Tutors will deliver tuition in line with the current UK national curriculum for Maths, English and/or Science, to students across various year groups (Year 1 to Post-16) and may support other subjects.

The role focuses on building students’ academic confidence, social skills, and overall success.

• Deliver tuition sessions in Maths, English and/or Science (and potentially other subjects) following the UK national curriculum
• Provide individualized support for students in core academics and social development
• Work with students across year groups from Key Stage 1 to Post-16
• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet each student’s learning needs
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment to build confidence and self-esteem
• Adapt approaches for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure inclusivity and accessibility
• Maintain ongoing communication with students and families regarding progress and areas for development

• Proven experience delivering tuition in Maths, English, and/or Science
• Strong understanding of the current UK national curriculum
• Experience working with students with SEN
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
• DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before employment
