Summary:
The Lead Roofing Instructor will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant roofing training to learners across a range of programmes. This position requires an experienced roofing professional with a passion for developing others, maintaining the highest safety standards, and supporting learners to achieve recognised within the industry.
You will lead by example, delivering engaging training, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.
What You’ll Do- Deliver engaging, compliant roofing training programmes through both practical demonstrations and classroom-based learning.
- Assess learners’ competence against relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure all training delivery meets current health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Support learners in achieving certifications and qualifications by conducting assessments and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing techniques, workplace regulations, and industry developments.
- Prepare and maintain lesson plans, course materials, and assessment documentation.
- Conduct workplace assessments where required.
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment and provide additional learner support when.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and external awarding or accrediting body requirements.
- Extensive industry experience as a Roofer.
- Recognised roofing qualifications.
- Teaching or training qualification, or willingness to work towards one (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training).
- Strong knowledge of current roofing regulations, work at height legislation, and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and support learners.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional training delivery.
- Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1, or D32/D33).
- Previous experience delivering training or instruction.
