Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Warrington

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Teacher Active is working closely with a specialist SEN setting in the Padgate area of Warrington to recruit a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex autism.

This specialist provision supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on autism. The school offers a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, personalised learning plans, and a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting pupils’ educational, emotional, and social development. Staff work closely as a team to create a calm, supportive, and consistent learning environment.

• Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and regulation
• Assisting with communication, sensory needs, and behaviour support
• Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals

• Previous experience working with complex autism (essential)
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Willingness and ability to carry out personal care duties
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• Competitive daily rate of £90–£110, depending on experience
