Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Full & Part Time in Warrington (Penketh) – September Start
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in the Penketh area of Warrington to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with Key Stage 2 experience who can confidently support pupils across the curriculum, including those who may require additional help with their learning or have SEND needs.
Key Requirements- Experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 2
- Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)
- Good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Confidence supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and encourage engagement
- Dependable, proactive, and flexible in approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
- Leading small group interventions in subjects such as English and Maths
- Providing additional support for pupils with SEND
- Assisting the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom organisation
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ wellbeing
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
