Position: SEN TA needed
Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Warrington
Pay: £90–£110 per day

Teacher Active is working closely with a specialist SEN setting in the Padgate area of Warrington to recruit a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex autism.

This specialist provision supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on autism. The school offers a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, personalised learning plans, and a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting pupils’ educational, emotional, and social development. Staff work closely as a team to create a calm, supportive, and consistent learning environment.

The role:

Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs
Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and regulation
Assisting with communication, sensory needs, and behaviour support
Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Essential requirements:

Previous experience working with complex autism (essential)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Willingness and ability to carry out personal care duties
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
