Teaching Assistant Level 3 - St Alban's Catholic Primary School The role

The Governors of St Alban’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is 12 hours a week, term time only, plus inset days to support in Nursery in the morning and deliver phonics interventions in the afternoon Thursday & Friday 8.30 am to 12.30 and 1.00pm to 3pm on a permanent contract.

The Post details: to provide additional support to enable the child to access the curriculum more easily.

The person appointed will:

• Have experience of working with children and it would be desirable to have knowledge of phonics teaching
• Have experience of implementing interventions and strategies to overcome barriers to learning in order to speed up academic progress Be a team player with a good sense of humour
• Have a sensitive but enthusiastic approach
• Hold GCSEs or equivalent qualification in at least English and Maths
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
