Are you an experienced roofer with at least 10 years' experience in slate and tiled roofing who is starting to think about what comes next? This well‑established training provider is expanding its construction and trades provision and is looking to strengthen its roofing team. Known for investing in its people, it offers modern workshop facilities, structured delivery, recognised qualifications, and clear progression routes into senior and leadership roles. In this role you will deliver practical, hands‑on roofing training to learners working towards industry qualifications in slate and tiled roofing. There is no requirement to teach flat roofs or membrane systems. You will coach, mentor, and support learners in a workshop environment, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and safe working practices required to succeed in the roofing industry.
Role- Full instructor training and teaching qualification support provided
- Delivering practical slate and tiled roofing training in a workshop environment
- Supporting and mentoring learners through hands‑on sessions
- Promoting safe, industry‑standard working practices
- Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for training delivery
- Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional learning environment
- Strong work‑life balance, job security, and an excellent benefits package
- Minimum 10 years' experience in slate and tiled roofing
- Strong hands‑on trade background
- Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- Desire to step away from full‑time site work and extend career longevity
- Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing others
- Confident communicator with good organisational skills
- Willingness to complete teaching or instructor qualifications
- Committed to health and safety, safeguarding, and learner wellbeing
