Are you considering a career in teaching but want to gain meaningful classroom experience before beginning formal teacher training?

Our two-year salaried teacher training programme gives you the opportunity to work in a school, earn a salary and develop the practical skills and confidence needed to become a qualified teacher.

You’ll spend both years working within the same school, building strong relationships with pupils and staff while gaining a genuine understanding of school life.

Your first year is designed to give you a strong foundation in the classroom before progressing into formal teacher training.

Following your first year, you’ll progress into formal teacher training, completing your PGCE and working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You’ll take on increasing responsibility for planning and delivering lessons while continuing to receive mentoring and support.

Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial, but the programme is designed to help you develop the classroom experience and confidence needed to progress into teaching.
