As Quantity Surveyor you will be supporting the team within the Environment and Water portfolio.
What You Will Contribute To The Team- Work on the pre‑contract tender process including tender assessment, queries and advising on the contract award recommendation report.
- Ensure robust estimates aligned to scope and accounting for all risks.
- Manage and administer contracts in accordance with contract requirements, including responses to communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions.
- Maintain robust budget and cost management, providing proactive solutions with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Own accurate commercial reporting.
- Proactively manage project and programme risk, ensuring mitigation plans are in place and implemented.
- Develop strong client relationships across the organisation.
- Support internal business development initiatives.
- Administer contracts via CEMAR.
- Make well‑reasoned, sound and timely decisions based on the needs of the situation, the clients and the team members.
- Stakeholder management.
- Extensive experience with NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C or E for project delivery, administration and management.
- Demonstrable understanding and practical application of NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C or
E. - Experience of post‑contract projects including commercial management from contract award to final account (budget and price control, forecast to complete, payment assessments and compensation events).
- Experience with a contract management software, such as CEMAR.
- Stakeholder management.
- Travel to and work in the client’s office(s) in North West England.
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or working towards APC.
- Knowledge and expertise in the water/wastewater industry sector, including the Water Industry Act 1991 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 section 84.
- Pre‑contract tendering experience on the NEC3 or 4 ECC.
