With the AMP8 cycle well underway and delivery intensifying, we are looking for a Senior Principal Process Engineer with extensive water & wastewater experience to drive major projects across the North.
About the RoleYou will serve as a key strategic advisor to our clients, leading the technical execution of ground‑breaking projects from inception through to construction. Your expertise will guide Project Managers and ensure high‑level execution that meets cost, schedule, and quality objectives. You will also mentor and develop our regional team of Process Engineers and nurture strong, collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and execution of large‑scale water and wastewater projects
- Guide Project Managers to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets
- Mentor regional Process Engineering staff and foster continuous learning
- Develop and maintain process calculations, mass balances, control philosophies, commissioning plans, HAZOPs, and P&t
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and ideally Chartered Engineer status
- Demonstrable experience in the water industry with a record of technical mastery in process calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs, and P&t
- Experience in a design and construction environment is beneficial
- Strong leadership, communication, and staff management skills
- Ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions and drive project outcomes
