Our client is a leading specialist contractor operating within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector, delivering structural strengthening, repair, and refurbishment solutions across critical UK infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in either Warrington or Birmingham.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of specialist engineering projects across highways, rail, bridges, and other infrastructure works. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure strong financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing project costs from inception through to final account
  • Preparation and submission of interim valuations and applications for payment
  • Subcontract procurement and management
  • Cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management
  • Identifying and managing variations and change control
  • Supporting senior commercial leadership with financial governance and contract administration
  • Ensuring compliance with NEC (or other relevant) forms of contract
About You

We are looking for a commercially astute and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative project environment.

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Experience in structural repair or specialist engineering projects
  • Working towards or achieved MRICS or MCIOB accreditation
