Engineering Manager | Residential House builder
Location: Cheshire
Salary: Up to £85,000 + package
A well-established house builder is looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to take full ownership of civil engineering delivery across multiple residential developments.
This is a senior, hands‑on role with real influence across design, cost and programme.
The role:- Lead civil engineering delivery from viability through to site
- Manage internal engineers and external consultants
- Own Section 38, 104 and 278 designs and approvals
- Oversee highways, drainage, levels and infrastructure strategy
- Support site appraisals, value engineering and planning conditions
- Background with a house builder or civil engineering consultancy
- Strong knowledge of S38, S104 and S278 agreements
- Confident managing and developing engineers
- Commercially minded, organised and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
- Salary up to £85,000
- Long‑term pipeline of residential schemes
- Clear route for progression and influence at regional level
