Senior EC&I Engineer

Position: Senior EC&I Engineer (Contract)
Matchtech is proud to be supporting a major project for a brand new Nuclear Project, and we're seeking an experienced Senior CE&I Engineer to join an integrated engineering team delivering essential design and technical solutions across a highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong CE&I project delivery experience to contribute to high‑impact work within one of the UK's most complex nuclear sites.

The Role

As a Senior CE&I Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing robust engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with site standards, and supporting project delivery through all lifecycle stages.

You will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

Developing high‑level engineering solutions through structured optioneering processes, including instrumentation and remote‑handling system down‑selection.
Producing detailed engineering specifications using structured requirements management and validation practices.
Defining data requirements for waste tracking and records management systems, including OT/IT interface definition.
Preparing design drawings and documentation across all stages
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders at critical lifecycle points.
Ensuring all deliverables meet checking and approval standards.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

Significant CE&I project delivery experience, converting user requirements and technical specifications into fully engineered, safe, compliant design solutions.
Strong background in specifying and down‑selecting process instrumentation systems.
Experience in structured requirements management and engineering optioneering practices.
Demonstrable experience in the Nuclear Industry.
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical & Electronic, Controls & Instrumentation, or similar).
