Senior Quantity Surveyor Civils

A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a portfolio of Infrastructure and Civils projects across the region.

This role offers autonomy, long-term career stability, and the chance to shape commercial strategy on technically challenging schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking full commercial responsibility across multiple civil engineering projects
• Managing cost control, forecasting, CVRs and monthly reporting
• Preparing and negotiating contracts, variations and claims
• Managing subcontract procurement, appointments and performance
• Overseeing valuations, payments and final accounts
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate cost management
• Supporting junior commercial staff and contributing to wider commercial planning
• Ensuring compliance with contract conditions and company procedures

Experience & Skills Required:

• Strong background as a QS/Senior QS within Civil Engineering (Infrastructure, Highways, Drainage, Structures, Earthworks or similar)
• Thorough understanding of NEC contracts
• Excellent commercial awareness and a proven track record of managing project finances
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with delivery teams
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
