Overview
NRL have exciting opportunities for Senior Mechanical Design Engineers with Tenet Consultants Ltd, an innovative multi-discipline engineering and design consultancy with headquarters in Warrington. As an Engineering Design Consultancy, Tenet provides niche design and technical services to a variety of industry sectors, primarily Nuclear. Their mechanical design activities include, but are not limited to:
- Concept & Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Studies
- Equipment Specification
- Detail Design
- Engineering Substantiation
- Specialist Mechanical Handling Design
- Mechanical Piping Design
- Manufacture installation and Commissioning Support
- Periodic Safety Reviews
- Lifetime Quality Records (LQR)
- Safety System Design
- Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment (INSA) & Peer Review
- Lead mechanical design activities and projects within a highly regulated industry, preferably Nuclear.
- Perform mechanical design calculations, produce technical specifications and requisitions, datasheets, and conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Check and review design documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry, preferably Nuclear.
- HND minimum, ideally degree qualified and working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Able to lead teams and develop younger engineers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform mechanical design calculations, produce technical specifications and requisitions, datasheets, perform technical bid evaluations.
- Experience Checking design documentation.
- Ability to obtain BPSS clearance.
- AutoCAD, Inventor, General Microsoft Office package.
- Contract or Permanent positions available
