Senior Environmental Consultant
Location:
Warrington, Cheshire | Hybrid Working
Full‑time | Permanent
This role offers an attractive salary and excellent benefits in a high‑growth, forward‑thinking consultancy environment. You will influence nationally significant nuclear waste management and environmental strategy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and resolve complex technical challenges relating to nuclear waste management.
- Produce high‑quality technical reports, documentation, and strategic guidance.
- Deliver clear presentations and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to long‑term capability development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
- Contribute to business development and wider consultancy growth plans.
- Support planning, permitting, compliance, and environmental assurance activities.
- Strong industry experience in the nuclear sector, including decommissioning planning and delivery, integrated waste management strategies and waste characterisation, environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Leadership or line‑management experience.
- Strong technical authoring and peer‑review capability.
- Previous consultancy experience delivering strategic or complex projects.
- Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer/Scientist status is highly desirable.
- Additional nuclear safety or waste management certifications are an advantage.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
