Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Create Detailed EC&I Designs – Develop accurate and compliant electrical, control and instrument drawings.
• Collaborate with a team focused on safety‑critical and high‑integrity design solutions.
• Contribute to projects within the Engineering BU, helping deliver programmes across operations and decommissioning.
• Communicate with internal teams (e.g. engineers, project managers) and external stakeholders (e.g. clients, regulators, suppliers) to ensure design alignment.
• Produce designs that meet nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.

• Understanding of IEC‑61508 and IEC‑61511 standards.
• Familiarity with the nuclear functional safety lifecycle.
• SIL determination and verification.
• Experience working with the safety case team.

• HNC qualification or equivalent.
• BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent with relevant experience.
