A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing technical engineering team working across quarrying, earthworks, remediation and major land development projects.
RoleAs a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, you will support the planning, design and delivery of geotechnical and earthworks projects across multiple sites.
- Assisting with earthworks and geotechnical design activities
- Producing technical calculations and engineering reports
- Supporting quarry restoration and development projects
- Carrying out site inspections and monitoring works
- Sampling and testing ground materials
- Supporting Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) activities
- Reviewing engineering data and site information
- Working with internal teams to ensure projects meet technical and regulatory requirements
- A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline
- Approximately 1-3 years’ experience within geotechnical, ground engineering, site investigation or civil engineering environments
- Strong attention to detail
- Good technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
- Experience with in earthworks, site investigations, ground modelling, quality assurance or engineering design would be advantageous but is not essential
