Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

A global chemical manufacturer at the forefront of sustainability, clean energy transition and circular economy innovation is looking to appoint a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering and operations team in Warrington.

The Role of Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maintaining plant equipment, infrastructure and site reliability through planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across both Mechanical and EC&I disciplines.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served, Multiskilled Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement and sustainable technologies.

Key Responsibilities of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:

Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation systems
Fault find and diagnose issues across complex process plant equipment
Support plant reliability, minimise downtime and maximise operational availability
Carry out maintenance activities in line with SAP PM schedules
Support commissioning, plant modifications and improvement projects
Maintain compliance with HSE procedures, permits and isolation standards
Work closely with production teams, engineering colleagues and contractors
Update maintenance records and work orders within SAP CMMS systems
Participate in the site on-call engineering rota

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND in their engineering discipline)
Multi-skilled engineering experience across Mechanical and EC&I disciplines

Experience with in chemical, manufacturing or process industries
Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, drives, instrumentation and control systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and control drawings
Experience using SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems
Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving and organisational skills
