BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

The Plant Facing Design Office (PFDO) have a requirement for a small team to provide support to MSSS to manage the development of tools to support early retrievals/early operations of the MSSS SEP Machines.

• Required to continue the development of tools to support early retrievals/operations of the MSSS SEP Machines.
• This role requires an innovative individual with experience within this field.
• Involve managing a small team of Designers/Engineers to understand the requirements, further specify requirements and to continue the development of bespoke tools, through concepts, trials and manufacture into fully deployable solutions.
• In addition, the Principal Engineer will act as the single point of contact from initial request through to handover of a fully functional toll to MSSS plant operations team.
• It will be necessary to integrate and manage other groups such the SL innovation teams, the site wide manufacturing capability and other contractors.
• 10+ years experience.
• HNC/HND/Scientific or Engineering Degree.
• Understand the roles and specifications of CDM.
• Experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL practices, standards and engineering guides.
