Principal Mechanical Engineer – Birchwood Park, Warrington.

• Continue the development of tools to support early retrievals/operations of the MSSS SEP machines.
• Lead a small team of designers/engineers to understand requirements, specify further requirements and continue the development of bespoke tools through concepts, trials and manufacture into fully deployable solutions.
• Act as the single point of contact from initial request through to handover of a fully functional tool to MSSS plant operation teams.
• Integrate and manage other groups such as the SL Innovation teams, site‑wide manufacturing capability and other contractors.

• Understanding of the roles and specifications of CDM.
• Experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements and risk assessments.
• Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL practices, standards and engineering guides.
• HNC/HND, Scientific or Engineering Degree.
