Location: Flexible, UK (Moor Row, Cumbria; Warrington, Cheshire; Leicester, Leicestershire; Bristol)
Working arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week on site)

The roleAs an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll play a key part in developing, delivering, and supporting radiometric characterisation and alarm systems across the UK and internationally. This dynamic role allows you to contribute to nuclear safety and innovation while advancing your career in a highly specialised field.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities- Develop and verify technical solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead investigations and drive design improvements across projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to manage specifications and delivery
- Support project execution and mentor junior engineers
- Promote engineering excellence, health and safety, and cultural change across the business
- Working collaboratively in multi‑discipline teams across varied project types
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering systems input and providing post‑installation or third‑line technical support
- Liaising with customers and suppliers on‑site for testing, installation, and commissioning
- Background in EC&I, Physics, or Radiometric, with experience in control systems and analogue/digital electronics
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics, control and instrumentation, or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it
