This role would suit an experienced Lead Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, or Design Manager from a manufacturing background with strong Solid Works experience and expertise in consumer electronics who is looking to transition into the medical device industry.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of innovative medical devices from concept through to manufacture using Solid Works.
- Manage product development projects, ensuring designs meet quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise products for performance, reliability, and production.
- Mentor and support engineers while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the design function.
- Proven experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, or similar within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Solid Works experience with a background designing consumer electronic products.
- Looking to transition into the medical device sector and develop expertise within a highly regulated industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and support a high‑performing team.
