Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the Labour Department Helpdesk and engineering resource planning.
  • Allocate engineers to reactive and planned works, ensuring contractual service levels are achieved.
  • Monitor work in progress, maintenance schedules and fixed-price works to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records within the Corrigo system, including job updates, engineer information and management reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and assist with tablet and system-related issues.
  • Manage engineer availability, including holidays, overtime, on-call rotas, sickness and timesheet approval.
  • Support recruitment, inductions, training, appraisals and the development of engineering staff and apprentices.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure effective communication and resource utilisation.
  • Produce operational and performance reports, including overtime and departmental KPI reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement of departmental processes, systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety, quality, environmental and legal requirements.
Skills & Qualifications Required
  • Strong technical knowledge gained through hands‑on engineering experience.
  • Good understanding of engineering operations, maintenance activities and resource planning.
  • Experience supervising or managing engineering teams, including workload allocation, performance support and staff development.
Qualifications
  • Recognised technical apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services or similar).
