We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join a major nuclear programme based in Warrington or Hull. This is a permanent staff position offering a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving engineering delivery across complex, high-value EPC projects within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across major nuclear projects
- Oversee engineering delivery in line with EPC / EPCM project requirements
- Ensure technical quality, compliance, and adherence to nuclear regulatory standards
- Provide leadership across Process, Mechanical, and CS&A (Civil, Structural & Architectural) disciplines
- Drive project performance, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, and budget
- Interface with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Support the development of engineering strategies and best practices across programmes
Required:
- Proven experience in a Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Head of Engineering role
- Strong background in one or more of the following disciplines:
Process, Mechanical, or CS&A - Demonstrable experience delivering engineering on EPC / EPCM / major capital projects
- Experience with in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of engineering governance, assurance, and compliance requirements
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to lead within complex, safety-critical project environments
