Description:

** The project requires the following at a high level:
* ** Mobilisation of residual solids
** in legacy effluent management tanks
* ** Retrieval of solids
** from tanks
* ** Separation of solids
** from adhering nuclear inventory
* ** Routing of recovered nuclear inventory
** for onward processing
* ** Packaging and routing of residual solids
** for onward encapsulation (ILW and LLW)
** Role

* ** Produce process engineering deliverables
** to support the “Appraise and Select” design phase
* Work within a
** multi-discipline design team
*** Key deliverables will include:  +  
** Process description**  +  
** Process schematics**  +  
** Basis of process safety**  +  
** Underpinning calculations**## My profile

Essential Experience &

Qualifications:

* ** Degree in Chemical Engineering** – A formal educational background in Chemical Engineering is a must.
* ** Proactive and driven approach to work** – Ability to take initiative and remain motivated.
* ** Good communication skills** – Capable of collaborating with team members from different disciplines and effectively communicating ideas and solutions.
* ** Competent report writing skills** – Ability to document findings clearly and concisely, ensuring all reports are well-structured and easy to understand.
* ** Comfortable under time and cost constraints** – Able to work efficiently under deadlines and within budget limitations.

Desirable Experience &

Qualifications:

* ** Chartered Chemical Engineer** – Chartered status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) or Engineering Council (EC) is a plus.
* ** Experience with Sellafield Ltd procedures** – Familiarity with the procedures for checking and approval within Sellafield Ltd.
* ** Experience in nuclear industry design delivery** – Prior involvement with designing and delivering projects in the nuclear sector.
* ** DESEAR** – Experience or knowledge of the Design Engineering Safety Assessment and Risk Management (DESEAR) process.
** Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
