We're looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our United Utilities team based in the North West.

Location: North West

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Join our multi-discipline team and play a key role in delivering successful commissioning activities on water projects. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you'll be responsible for executing commissioning from construction completion through to Take-Over, ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you'll be working within the United Utilities team, supporting them in delivering successful and timely Take-Over of projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Electrical inspection of cable terminations and producing as-built electrical drawings
  • Testing and commissioning of electrical power and control systems including motors, inverter drives, and instrumentation
  • Start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, and process equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
  • Producing, checking, and approving commissioning test sheets and detailed reports to support Take-Over
  • Ensuring all commissioning activities comply with Electrical Site Safety Rules and Health and Safety regulations
What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Commissioning Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification and ECS (JIB) Gold Card
  • You have experience in commissioning water projects with knowledge of water processes
  • You possess strong technical skills in electrical engineering and fault finding
  • You have experience carrying out Authorised Person (LV) duties
  • You're a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
