The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced EC&I Designer/Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of electrical, control and instrumentation design solutions, ensuring delivery to agreed quality, cost and schedule requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging infrastructure and engineering programmes where safety, quality and compliance are paramount.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Deliver EC&I design activities in line with project scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
Produce and develop detailed EC&I design drawings and documentation.
Update design documentation and drawings to reflect as-built installations.
Support the development and maintenance of design packs, technical documentation and engineering records.
Ensure design activities comply with applicable standards, procedures and quality requirements.
Apply configuration control and document management processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Support design reviews and contribute to technical solutions within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Assist in identifying and managing engineering risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure engineering activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Proven experience in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) design.
Strong background producing and modifying EC&I drawings and design documentation.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Experience developing technical designs within an engineering or industrial environment.
Good understanding of engineering design principles and safety requirements.
Familiarity with quality assurance, configuration control and design governance processes.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Competent user of engineering and design software packages.
Experience with in highly regulated sectors.
It’s great if you also have the following
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline
