The OpportunityWorking closely with the local Senior Management Team, you will provide technical expertise and operational support across your area of responsibility. You will help deliver operational targets through robust process control, continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their career within a global manufacturing business. We will also consider engineering graduates for a structured development role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for fault finding, troubleshooting and process development across scrap pre-treatment, melting, metal treatment and/or casting operations.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators to support operational excellence.
- Apply Continuous Improvement and problem-solving methodologies in line with the company Operating System.
- Participate in Safety, Energy and Continuous Improvement GEMBA activities.
- Build strong relationships with site stakeholders and internal customers.
- Maintain and analyse process and operational data for your area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing, quality and operational standards.
- Utilise PI systems and data analytics to establish and improve process and operating standards.
- Drive process optimisation initiatives while maintaining stable and reliable operations.
- Support the achievement of safety, quality, productivity and sustainability objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold an Engineering degree in along with 3+ years of industrial experience, preferably within a manufacturing or process-based environment.
You will also bring:
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems.
- Understanding of quality management processes, with ISO 9001 knowledge desirable.
- A collaborative communication style and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills.
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- The ambition and capability to develop into a future technical expert or engineering leader.
