** Role description:
** We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Rail Drainage Engineer to join our Rail North West & Central Business teams in Yorkshire, Cheshire and  this role, you will lead the delivery of drainage design packages for rail and infrastructure projects, developing drainage solutions and ensuring high-quality technical outputs are delivered in line with project requirements.
** Role Accountabilities:
*** Lead the delivery of drainage design packages for rail and infrastructure projects.
* Prepare, review and verify drainage calculations, drawings, reports and technical documentation.
* Develop drainage solutions covering surface water, foul water, SuDS, earthworks drainage and rail/highways drainage.
* Undertake drainage design and modelling using software such as Info Drainage and Civil Storm.
* Coordinate drainage design with multidisciplinary project teams.
* Support approvals and consents submissions to relevant authorities, including LLFAs and Water Authorities.
* Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
* Identify and manage design risks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and Arcadis requirements.
** Qualifications &

Experience:

*** BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven drainage design experience within infrastructure projects; rail experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of surface water, foul water, SuDS, earthworks drainage and rail/highways drainage systems.
* Proficiency in drainage design and hydraulic modelling software.
* Ability to prepare and review technical calculations, drawings and reports.
* Understanding of approvals and consents processes involving relevant authorities.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution is desirable.
