Contract OLE Design Engineer (Outside IR35)

We are urgently seeking experienced OLE Design Engineers for a flexible contract role. This is a hands-on "doer" position focused on design delivery for projects involving tunnel resilience and clearance studies. We need people who can hit the ground running and produce high-quality design work.

• Role: OLE Design Engineer / Senior OLE Design Engineer
• Contract:
  
  Outside IR35. A high volume of work is expected over the next 4-6 months.
• Location:
  
  Hybrid, based from our Warrington office. Ideally 2 days per week in the office, although we can be flexible for the right candidate.
• Experience:
  
  Must have relevant Network Rail OLE experience.
• Senior Engineer Rate: £45/hour, based on an 8-hour day. Senior Engineer level requires Chartership or 10+ years' relevant experience.
• Engineer Rate: £40/hour, based on an 8-hour day, for candidates who do not meet the Senior Engineer criteria.

You will be responsible for hands-on OLE design delivery, supporting projects involving tunnel resilience and clearance studies. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, producing design outputs and delivering work to the required standards and timescales.

• Proven OLE design experience within a Network Rail environment.
• Strong practical design and technical delivery experience.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Relevant experience with tunnel resilience and/or clearance studies would be advantageous.
• Senior Engineer:
  Chartership or 10+ years' relevant experience.
• Engineer:
  Candidates with less than 10 years' relevant experience and without Chartership.
