Go Car Credit is a specialist motor finance lender supporting those with less than perfect credit scores to get behind the wheel. Our hire purchase deals don’t just get people a great car – they give people the chance to rebuild their credit score too.

To support growth we’re looking for experienced underwriters who have recently worked in non-prime motor finance underwriting to join us at either our Warrington or Portsmouth offices. We're open to people looking for part time hours as well.

As key contributors to delivering good outcomes and our proposition to customers, Go Car Credit’s underwriters decide on the suitability of HPA offers based on applicants’ individual circumstances. Decisions are based on data from applications and credit reference agencies, as well as information from proprietary credit and affordability assessment tools. In addition, our underwriting team also undertake a careful assessment of vehicles being offered to applicants, using both third-party data and internal tools, to ensure they meet our lending and funding criteria.

You will be comfortable using complex data to make nuanced decisions, and will take into account our policies and guidelines to come to your conclusion. As an experienced underwriter, you will use your knowledge and skills to apply a holistic approach to identify exceptions which will result in good outcomes for all involved.
