Assistant Accountant

Overview of Role

H&M Distribution Limited, one of the leading suppliers of distribution services within the UK, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join its busy Finance team. The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance department by managing essential accounting processes that support business performance and compliance. This is a development role with progression opportunities and financial study support.

• Part-qualified AAT or CIMA
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong IT skills, including Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Genuine enthusiasm for delivering high-quality work
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands

Salary Range: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week, including a 30-minute paid break per day)

Bonus: Eligibility to participate in a discretionary quarterly bonus scheme
