Management Accountant

Altrad is seeking a Management Accountant based in Warrington to join the finance team.

• Produce timely & accurate management accounts and monthly reporting (local & group) in all agreed formats and timetables.
• Develop SG&A reporting packs.
• Deliver SG&A overheads reviews with key business partners and forecast future outturns.
• Set budgets and analyse financial data to identify and resolve issues and explain variances from budget or forecast, assisting users to understand the numbers.
• Ensure adequate robust financial controls within financial systems and recommend improvements.
• Reconcile and review the balance sheet each month‑end, identifying and resolving any issues.
• Build strong internal relationships, supporting cost centre managers and Finance Business Partners.
• Drive process improvement, document financial processes, and lead ad‑hoc projects to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Monthly Group reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash, Key Working Capital Metrics (adaptive insights/Convergence).
• Conduct SG&A reviews & analysis, financial forecasting, balance sheet reviews, and inter‑company support.
• Provide technical support to Management Accountants.

• ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualification with 1–2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience managing a small team (ideal but not essential).
• Ability to handle a wide variety of complex issues.
