Interim Finance Manager

We are working with a leading professional sports organisation in the North West to identify an Interim Finance Manager to support their finance function during a key period.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the numbers. You will support cash planning, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting, while also getting into the detail of spreadsheets, reconciliations, modelling and core accounting work.

The organisation needs someone who is available quickly and able to add value from day one. You will work with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business, providing clear financial insight and helping the organisation make informed commercial and operational decisions.

• Support cash flow planning, forecasting and short‑term financial visibility
• Build and maintain financial models, reports and analysis
• Work closely with finance colleagues on budgeting, reforecasting and management information
• Analyse performance, identify trends and provide clear commentary
• Support month‑end, reporting and wider accountancy tasks where needed
• Improve spreadsheet‑based processes, reporting packs and financial controls
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to provide practical financial insight

• Experience across FP&A, cash planning, forecasting or financial analysis
• Good technical accounting knowledge and strong spreadsheet skills
• A hands‑on approach, with the ability to work at pace and get into the detail
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to build, review and improve financial models
• Availability to start at short notice
• Experience in sport, entertainment, venues or leisure
