Location – Warrington (WA3 6UT
) 2 days per week in the office.
Role type – Full time, Permanent.
Working hours/days – 9pm, Monday-Thursday & Friday.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Accounts Payable function in one of the global areas in which RSIS operate.
You will be required to work to agreed SLAs with other areas of the business, and the role will require some strategic supplier management to provide a seamless service to key vendors, and clients and oversee the management of vendor queries and look for improvements across all areas of accounts payable. You will have direct reports across the AP function responsible for tasks including, but not limited to, invoice query resolution, managing inboxes, statement reconciliations, payment of suppliers and maintaining clean ledgers.
You will manage your team effectively and ensure tasks are completed within specific time frames to continue to support the business in the smooth servicing of the client base and support the team through coaching and supporting with training requirements.
What you will be doing:- Ensuring the ledgers are operated accurately, efficiently, and timely to ensure payment on time.
- Lead the team using Data insight.
- To ensure smooth operation of weekly payment runs, including accuracy checks to assure correct payments are made.
- To be proactive and take initiatives to review and make improvements in processes and procedures to support BAU, reconciliations, and all other tasks within AP.
- Support Audit actions and requests.
- To support month end processes, ensuring all ledgers are maintained and balanced on time.
- Investigating and resolving supplier invoice issues through the escalation process and proactively work with the team and other stakeholders to prevent issues from reoccurring.
- Providing support to your own team and others with a One Team approach through knowledge transfer and best practice.
- Experience of supporting an Accounts Payable team in a large organisation.
- Experience of working in Shared Service centre would be preferable.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently to deliver a common objective and work across team boundaries to build and strengthen working relationships.
