This role will sit at the heart of that journey, supporting senior leadership with meaningful financial information to drive decision-making and future growth. This position is ideally suited to a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant seeking their first move into a dedicated FP&A role, where they can develop their commercial acumen and gain exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role As FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting. Working closely with the Head of FP&A and CFO, you will help translate financial data into actionable insights that support both operational and strategic decision making. You will have the opportunity to influence business performance through robust analysis, identify trends and risks, and support initiatives that drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-range planning processes. Produce insightful monthly performance reporting and management information packs. Deliver meaningful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year performance. Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic projects, investment decisions and scenario planning. Analyse key financial and operational drivers, identifying risks and opportunities. Assist in preparing presentations and reporting for senior leadership.
Support the development of KPI dashboards and business performance reporting. Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to improve understanding of financial performance. Contribute to cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis. Improve and streamline reporting processes, helping to enhance data quality and insight. Provide ad hoc commercial analysis to support growth initiatives and business planning. Key skills Newly (or nearly) qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information. Strong Excel skills including modelling and data analysis. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at different levels. Naturally curious, proactive and commercially aware. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience within FP&A, commercial finance, transaction services, audit or management accounting. Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling. Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools. Background within a growing business. This is more than an FP&A role. It's an opportunity to become a trusted financial analyst within a business that values data-driven decision making and is committed to its next phase of growth.
For an ambitious newly qualified accountant looking to build a career in FP&A and Business partnering, the role offers the ideal platform to develop commercially, gain senior exposure and contribute to a business with significant opportunities ahead.
