Overview
Are you a caring and compassionate individual looking to make a positive difference to patient care? An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Kingsley Ward Team, our inpatient dementia assessment unit at Hollins Park Hospital, Warrington. Our ward provides a high standard of assessment and treatment for those with Dementia and BPSD (Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia).
You will gain valuable experience and skills across the field of Dementia, incorporating both physical and mental health. You will be motivated to make a real difference in the lives of people living with dementia, where passion, empathy, strong communication and excellent teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
You will be supported within a multidisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, activity workers and assistant practitioners. We provide a range of training and educational opportunities, clinical supervision and peer group support.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with service and patient needs, as agreed with supervising clinicians.
- Work alongside the multi professional team and the Registered Nurse to provide holistic and person-centred care.
- Operate independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing care and all aspects of the nursing process.
- Registered Nursing Associate with a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing.
- Must meet the NMC standards of proficiency and work within the limits of their competency.
- Accountable to the National Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct.
- Subject to an enhanced check with the adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
