Healthcare Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical staff in providing efficient and effective services to our patient population.

• Carrying out clinical tasks such as:
  • Phlebotomy (blood tests)
  • Long term condition reviews
  • NHS Health Checks
  • New patient health checks
• Supporting clinicians during consultations and procedures
• Recording accurate patient information in electronic medical records
• Assisting with infection prevention and control procedures
• Stock control and maintaining clinical equipment
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well‑organised clinical environment
• Promoting patient health and wellbeing

• Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in primary care or a similar healthcare setting
• Care Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Caring and professional attitude towards patients

• Experience using Systm One
