Senior Occupational Therapist – Neuro Rehabilitation (ABI)

Salary: £44,000 | Full Time | Specialist Neurorehabilitation Service

About the role

Are you an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist looking to specialise or further develop your career in neurorehabilitation? We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a highly specialist service supporting adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and progressive neurological conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team focused on promoting independence, improving functional ability, and supporting meaningful engagement in everyday life.

You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, while also contributing to clinical leadership, supervision, and service development.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage a specialist caseload of adults with complex neurological needs.
  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Support occupational engagement, skill development, and environmental adaptations.
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to develop and review care plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff and therapy assistants.
  • Contribute to service development, policies, and clinical pathways.
  • Support student placements and professional development within the team.
Qualifications and experience
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation, ABI, or complex neurological conditions.
  • Skilled in clinical reasoning and use of specialist OT models and approaches.
  • Confident working with individuals with complex needs and neurodiversity.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership and supervision skills.
  • Passionate about rehabilitation, independence, and patient‑centred care.
