Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Community Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated community children's therapy team on a 3-month locum contract . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT who is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential within their everyday environments.

Role Overview As a Community Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work with children and young people aged 0–19 years , carrying out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and providing intervention recommendations across a range of community settings. Your caseload will involve visiting:
Mainstream and specialist schools Community clinics Other appropriate community settings as required You will work collaboratively with families, educational staff, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.

Key Responsibilities Assess the occupational therapy needs of children and young people aged 0–19 years. Complete functional assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans and recommendations. Provide advice, strategies, and interventions to support participation in daily activities, education, and development. Produce accurate clinical documentation and reports. Liaise effectively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals involved in the child's care. Maintain accurate patient records using the Systm One clinical system.

Essential Requirements HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. Previous experience working as a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist . Experience assessing and managing a paediatric caseload within community, school, or clinic settings. Knowledge and experience of using Systm One . Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle, as regular travel between schools and clinics is required. Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
