Role: Servery Support Assistant

Salary: £12.71 per hour

We support older people and people with dementia in our residential homes, Heathside and The Mews, either as a permanent new home or for short respite breaks. Heathside is our 37-bedroom residential home with a cozy and homely feel, and The Mews is our 25-bed home with a light, modern airy feel. Heathside and The Mews are next door to one another and collaborate on many activities and outings, but each offers a different living experience.

We emphasise high-quality, person-centred care. Everyone is different, so we tailor bespoke support plans and personalise routines to suit each resident.

In this role, you will serve breakfast to residents in Heathside Care Home, assist with meals and fluids in the dining room, and serve hot drinks to residents throughout the building. You will also input information into our Nourish system, recording what each resident has eaten and their fluid intake. You will need to know each resident’s diary requirements including modified food, accessible in our Nourish system.

• Welcome Bonus: £250 – £50 after 4 weeks of service and £200 after completing 2 months. Not eligible if we pay to sponsor you to work in the UK.
• Training and Development: Access to in-house and accredited courses. We cover qualification costs, and on completing Level 2 or above you’ll receive a £150 bonus (additional £50 for passing the care certificate).

• Blue Light Card and discounts: Card cost covered, with discounts on childcare, shopping, and training courses.
• Night Enhancement: Additional £1 per hour for hours between 8pm and 8am.
• Free Meals: Available to staff working 12-hour shifts.
• Refer a Friend: Earn £200 when a referred friend joins WCL.
• Christmas Enhancement (Double Time): Double-time pay for allocated Christmas hours.
• Ongoing Technological Advancements: Access to care plan and rota apps with training.
