Be part of a team dedicated to working alongside people in their local area. A team that builds independence, supports people’s wellbeing and is part of a wide network of local and national support.

Beyond traditional adult social care, we build support around what people can do then challenge and inspire them to do even more. Key Ring recognises that life should be built around connections, friendships and doing things you love. Life should never ever be built around a support provider.

Our support and career options are flexible. We’d love to talk about how your career at Key Ring fits around what is important to you.

About you

Our vision is for a welcoming world that celebrates the skills and talents of everybody. We are more interested in your values than your experience. Our recruitment process is designed to find people that will love what they do. Some of these people have worked in social care for many years but others come from a variety of unrelated backgrounds. They all share a passion that everyone has skills and talents that should be celebrated and shared.

We want you to feel at home, be yourself and share your unique skills and talents. We seek a diverse and inclusive community that mirrors the diversity of the people we support and the areas we work in.

To support this we are an equal opportunities employer and are disability confident committed.

You’ll get support both personally and professionally and we offer a range of benefits including:

Holiday

You’ll get a generous 30 days plus bank holidays every year ( pro rata for part time team members).

You can access flexible working options so that you can live the life you want to lead.

Health and wellness

Employee Assistance Programme - face to face counselling and a range of advice.

Training

Excellent training programme to reach your potential - even if that means you move on!

Pension

Pension Scheme with Life assurance of two year's salary.

DBS

We pay for your DBS (previously CRB) and Online Update.

Are you passionate about supporting others? Come and join our friendly team!

We currently have a Community Support Worker role available in South London working across two areas Lewisham & Lambeth This is a part-time role, 22.5 hours per week.

What you’ll do:

You’ll work with local people to build their skills, local connections and friendships. You’ll make sure that the people you work with (Members) are doing as much as they can for themselves, that they are looking after themselves and that they have a life that is bigger than social care support.

  • For David, this meant helping him to sort out his money so that he paid his bills and had some money left over to spend on what he’s really passionate about:
World of Warcraft. Now he feels in control of his money, he has a new goal and is saving for a trip abroad.
  • For Carol, it was about setting alarms so that she remembered to take her tablets. Now she feels less anxious she’s getting out and about and meeting other Members.

You’ll feel inspired and help inspire people. You’ll encourage them to try new things and have new experiences. You’ll reassure but you won’t take over. Every Member you support is unique, and every day will be different.

Your role will be out and about. You’ll meet people in their homes or at local venues.

What you won’t be expected to do:

We support people with a lot of different things to do with leading an ordinary life, but we don’t do things like bathing people or taking them to the toilet. This is sometimes called personal care. If people need personal care, we will work with other local support providers to make sure they get what they need.
