About Us

Support at Home is an established and highly regarded care provider delivering high-quality support to adults, children, young people and families across the Northwest. We are passionate about providing person-centred care that enables people to live fulfilling and independent lives.

As our Children and Young People’s Services continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious, motivated and experienced individual to help develop this exciting area of the business.

During the initial development of the Children's Services division, the post holder will undertake direct support work as required. As the service grows, the proportion of direct care responsibilities will reduce, with increasing emphasis on leadership, service development, quality assurance and staff management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and growth of Children’s Services in Warrington.
  • Complete assessments, reviews and risk assessments.
  • Support the implementation of new care packages.
  • Build positive relationships with children, young people, families and professionals.
  • Recruit, induct and support care staff.
  • Deliver client led training, observations and competency assessments.
  • Supervise and support care workers.
  • Monitor service quality and compliance.
  • Deliver direct support and care where necessary, particularly during the service development phase.
  • Promote the organisation’s values and commitment to outstanding care.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs, disabilities, complex needs or behavioural support requirements.
  • Experience supervising or supporting staff.
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet service needs.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.
  • Experience working with local authorities, health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience developing new services or care packages.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted and children’s service regulatory requirements.
