As a IOM Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Pathways to Recovery has been serving the community of Warrington since 2007. We are based in our busy Bold Street premises in the heart of Warrington, and we are currently looking for a Recovery Coordinator to work alongside our Integrated Offender Management (IOM) team.

This post in partnership with the IOM team in Warrington emanates in part from the significant drive by the Government as part of its new national Combatting Drugs Strategy, and forms part of our local partnership vision for strengthening our work with the criminal justice system and in particular the continuity of care we want to see between prison leavers and community services.

We are looking for someone with a passion for helping our service users and a can-do attitude to help tackle the often-difficult transition that prisoners leaving custody must overcome in reintegrating back into the community.

You will be someone with the ability to make a real connection with people, someone who has experience in partnership working and can navigate their way through to that win/win outcome for services but crucially never losing sight of the individual service users' needs at the heart of the work.

Warrington

37.5 hours per week

Fixed Term contract of 12 months

* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

• Work in a secondment position with the Integrated Offender Management Team (IOM) at Warrington Probation.
• Visit Prisoners pre-release, to establish a rapport and make plans for their release.
• Meet Prisoners on the day of their release and pick them up at the establishment gate.
• Mentor the individuals post release as they acclimatise to reintegration back into the community.
• Introduce individuals into meaningful activities within the community, supporting access to mutual aid for example.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with IOM partners, including attendance at multi-agency meetings and contribute to risk management plans.
• Help to co-deliver group work interventions in a community setting using a range of psychosocial interventions.
• Support the delivery of the Open Access reception service, and the syringe exchange scheme if required.
• As assist with the operational delivery of the on-site recovery Hub and its associated activities if required.
• Assist with and carry out appropriate screening processes including urine and saliva tests including COVID testing.
• In conjunction with Recovery Coordinators as the principal case managers and other operational colleagues work to support the planned goals and aspirations of service users and the service.
• Signpost, direct and refer those new to service and existing service users.
• Undertake risk assessed home visits on service users if required.
• To always treat service users with respect and dignity and actively promote equality of opportunities and diversity.
• Always observe personal and professional boundaries and work within the Change Grow Live Code of Conduct.
• Ensure all interventions are recorded and in accordance with Change Grow Live policies, and as directed by the local management team.
• Ensure that all safeguarding issues related to both children and adults are dealt with in accordance with Change Grow Live policies and procedures and local reporting requirements.
• Produce evidence in monthly supervision, when necessary, illustrate that performance targets are being met.
• Take part in Change Grow Lives' professional development opportunities and training for personal professional growth, and to meet organisational and service need.
• Apply information governance processes to ensure all necessary safeguards are in place regarding personal information and its appropriate use about services users, the workforce, and members of the public.
