Support Worker, Caregiver

At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We're looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to join our specialist home in Warrington. Our Grappenhall Children's home, rated OFSTED outstanding, is located in the heart of Warrington, the home supports six children aged 7-18 with a diagnosis of autism and learning disabilities.

The children that live in the home enjoy swimming, trips to local park and beaches as well as volunteering within the local community supporting food bank drives and cooking meals for Reach Out Liverpool. As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of their day-to-day support team, actively valuing and amplifying what matters to them, planning fulfilling activities.

You will also keep records of their needs, support provided and progress. No two days are the same, you could be supporting someone to settle into their new home, develop independence and life skills, enjoy activities they love, or achieve important milestones. You'll be part of a supportive team creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment where people can truly thrive.

You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs. You'll do more than provide care – you'll be a mentor, advocate, and source of encouragement, helping the people you support to achieve the best outcomes.

What we're looking for:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or be willing to work towards it. Passionate about person-centred care. Positive and proactive. Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Experience in care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. Full UK Driving Licence is advantageous. That's why we offer a clear hourly pay structure, with opportunities to progress as your career develops. £13.25 - £13.45 per hour – Support Worker (Unqualified) £13.75 per hour – Support Worker (Unqualified, Keyworker) £13.65 - £13.95 per hour – Support Worker (Qualified) £14.25 per hour – Support Worker (Qualified, Keyworker) £14.50 per hour – Advanced Support Worker (additional responsibilities) As you grow with Bright Futures, you'll have opportunities to develop your skills, take on greater responsibility and increase your earning potential.
