The Role As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support based around the individual needs, choices and interests of those you support. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals with their daily routines and personal care Helping people develop and maintain everyday life skills Supporting individuals to access the local community and enjoy activities Building positive and trusting relationships Following individual care and support plans Promoting choice, dignity and independence Supporting communication and social relationships Working as part of a friendly and dedicated team Completing appropriate records and documentation Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference to the people you support.
Shift Patterns The service offers varied shift patterns to provide flexibility around the needs of the service and its staff. The main shift pattern is: 7:15am – 8:15pm There are also a variety of alternative shift options, including: 9:00am – 5:00pm 9:00am – 6:00pm 9:00am – 4:00pm The contracted minimum is 35 hours per week . About You We're looking for someone who is:
Caring, patient and compassionate Reliable and committed A confident communicator Comfortable working as part of a team Passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible Able to build positive relationships with those around them A driver with either a full UK driving licence or an automatic-only licence Previous experience within care or support work is desirable, particularly experience supporting people with learning disabilities or autism .
