IT QA Tester / Automation, Technical Support, Systems Analyst

Hours:
Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 (35 hours per week).
Location:
Hybrid role – 104 Dalton Avenue, Birchwood, Warrington, WA3 6YF
& remote. Grade: CM40. Competitive salary available on request.
The Test Lead will be responsible for the oversight and deliverables of one or more project test teams for testing software components in line with company guidelines and standards. The role must provide support for the planning and execution of test activities, working within the agreed IT processes, to ensure robust and high-quality solutions to the end-user community.
Key Responsibilities- Report into the Test Manager for updates, risk and issues
- Lead the project test team and ensure they are fully utilized and achieving project goals
- Create testing artifacts such as test approaches, test reports and closure reports
- Ensure the project test team are adhering to testing processes and standards
- Lead the SIT, UAT and Live Proving test phases to agreed quality gates and timelines
- Triage defects and chair triage calls
- Estimate all aspects of testing to be completed within the project
- Peer review of test cases/scripts
- Identify and communicate blockers and risks
- Utilises testing knowledge and experience to assess, advise and implement the best test approach for a particular set of acceptance criteria
- Identifies opportunities for test automation, work in conjunction with other TAs to bring test automation into the process
- Hands on testing when required
- Proven experience working as a Test Lead
- Previous hands-on experience as a tester
- Strong experience of Testing Methodologies
- Experience in leading different testing phases
- Experience writing manual and automated test scripts
- Well-practiced in cloud-based solutions
- Experience with SQL/Postman/C#/Spec Flow
- Skilled with scrutinising data and generating test data
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Good automation knowledge with the ability to automate UI, Database and API testing, via various tool sets
- Strong technical background knowledge and experience of Visual Studio, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, Azure Dev Ops
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience using Playwright
- Finance or cash management experience
- An understanding of object models and workflow, configuration management tools, and .NET development environments would be a plus
