Vehicle Maintenance Operative

Shift Pattern – 5 from 7 – 45 hours per week.

You’ll work predominantly 1200‑2130 but with flexibility to cover shifts 0300‑1230 & 1400‑2330 as required. 10% hourly rate uplift between 1800‑2200 and 20% hourly rate uplift between 2200‑0600.

Our Brakes Site Vehicle Maintenance Technician roles help keep our network running – they not only find solutions but ensure everything we do enables us to deliver on our promises to our customers and exceed expectations while working together as one team.

We are looking for a qualified HGV Mechanic to carry out work on site.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify and advise supervisors of any additional work required.
• Complete work in a timely manner to DVSA standards.
• Reduce vehicle down‑time to a minimum.
• Work alone using initiative or as an active member of the team.
• Prioritise workload and manage service providers.
• Monitor progress and ensure quality.
• Be computer literate and comfortable using compliance software.

We require a qualified HGV Mechanic with good communication skills. Experience in commercial vehicle maintenance is preferable but not essential.
